my famly is having a big yard sale next weekend, and we are using the money for a weekend trip, and i would like you to decide where we should go.- now I have been to Busch gardens twice, but i never seen the new Griffin Coaster, and i was too short to ride the alpengeist. but i also heard that they got rid of the 'Big Bad Wolfe' and 'corscrew hill' why the hell would they do that?
- i have been to hershey park many of times, and my family had a great time every time we went, my family had a blast, and they have allot of roller coasters, and most of them are the best i have ever rode. but is it woth going again
- i never been to any six flags park, and so far 3 of them in america have been shut down. so idk if i should go now because it might close eventually, and i might miss my chance. but my father has been there and said that it is worth going to
- and i have never been to kings dominion, but 'The volcano' looks pretty cool, because if i am not mistaking you do a barrel roll while you're in the fire
So what do you guys think i should do?

I say Kings Dominion; I went there for my Senior Class Trip; Volcano was broken most of the day; but that piece of crap can't hold it's own with the new monster; Feast your eyes on what many a coaster enthusiast has said eats Millennium Force whole and craps it out all over Ceder Point*!
(*BTW, I'm not kidding, watch the 2nd vid the whole way through.)
Cedar Fair wanted to put the best parts of Millennium Force and Maverick Together, and they got the INTIMIDATOR 305!

I was going to get on but I never got around to it; Before you know it, the trip was over; You can see it from all over the park; But it's in the way back in a corner that you'd never realized was there... I'm surprised you hadn't heard about this; Everyone has been blacking out on the first turn; Most Enthusiast say it's the best steel coaster around today. When I saw the renderings; (I began to follow this project since screamscape first announced that they had a coaster in the works by Intamin, and it was gonna most likely be a Giga; Since I was headed there for the first time for my class trip) I was puzzled as to how they planed to drop riders 301 feet (From what I heard, the accidently added a foot to the drop, making 301 feet instead of the originally expected 300ft) right into a banked turn, and not kill them on impact with the G's that such a maneuver is capable of. That is one wide turn at the base; and the trims they added for a few weeks are now gone from what I hear; and new restraints too; I-305 is one of the most Epic Looking Coasters ever too, don't ya think? With it's two towers that support the lift hill entirely... Anyway, they have a bunch of other cool rides there too; They have a lot of wooded coasters there too; Rebel Yell (The Smooth one), Hurler (The One that shakes you from side-to-side), and Grizzly (The One that shakes your spine up an down); plus you have the "Midget Phoenix" AKA Ghoster Coaster...
The Back Lot Stunt Coaster and The Avalanche Bobsled Run are much more intense then you'd expect; Especially the later...
And they still have the River Rapids there; one thing I feel Hershey made a major mistake of removing. That was a fun ride!
And always remember; The Dominator is a waste of your time; it's an over-hyped inversion fest that was moved from a former Six Flags Park; It's nothing more then a typical B&M coaster; Nothing Special. All Hype.
Oh; and if you like Water Parks, they have one that you can get into for free with admission.

Six Flags all the way. They have some of the best coasters. They have BATWING where you LAY down so it feels like your flying and they have The Wild One which is one of the oldest wooden coasters still operating ( it was built in 1919). Plus an awesome Pirate Stunt Show and lots of other coasters and water rides.

I've never been, so I can't really give any self-proven advice on the Six Flags Park; as for Hershey; who hasn't been there; seen it, done that. I haven't been to Busch Gardens, but as far as they are concerned, they need to be boycotted for removing the Big Bad Wolf...

I've been to Busch Gardens, and believe me, going once is enough. but i heard they havve a new ride called "Europe in the air" which is the same ride as "Soarn'" from Epcot

You do realize Soar'n is originally from California Adventure? Besides, who visits EPCOT?
MOST BORING THEME PARK OF ALL TIME!
I've heard horror stories about Six Flags America...but I can't say that I know if they are true since I have never been. As far a I've heard though, the park's staff use to be so mean that an Update on Screamscape had to do with the Staff actually being nice for once; due to the rescission and the fact that they aren't scraping the bottom of the barrel for employees anymore...
And I've heard more...

Yeah a couple years back , the employees were mean and lazy as HELL. They would play on their cell phones and talk about their personal lives while serving you. It could have taken 5 minutes just to get a soda refill. But now they have really improved. The team members are very friendly and give everyone highfives. It has changed a lot for the better

I had this happen only once at an amusement park; at Lakemont park while on the swings; The girl took forever to start the ride because she was getting her feet massaged by some dude who worked at another ride...
I've heard from someone I knew at school that they got stuck on the octopus ride while someone took a lunch break...

Intimidator looks great! How fast does it go?

|
Post by mttbrilhart on Jul 5, 2010 23:14:13 GMT -5
On a good day 95+; the original estimates where 92, but as with most computer aided models, the numbers where a bit off when you build a 301ft tall speed demon. The ride doesn't slow down till the end.

well.. i tried to talk my family into Kings dominion, but they all agreed on Hershey. i dont mind going to Hershey, it is a great park, bt i go there to musch, but my family said we were going o kings dominion eventually.
oh, btw that new Fahrenheit ride IS NOT WORTH A 30 MIN WAIT! the storm runner might be, but Fahrenheit's drop is not exciting at all, the drop for storm runner and Lightning racers has to bee a longer drop

YES! TROY IS COMING TO HIS SENSES! (Sorta) And where is the love for Wild Cat; those new millennium flyer trains make a pretty smooth ride...
I have a tip to avoid crowds at Hershey; start at the back; Everyone always hits the Comet Scrambler an Swings first; head all the way the back; where lightning Racers are; Go from there; You'll have so few lines to wait in going opposite everyone.

But Fahrenheit looks pretty awesome...the vertical climb reminds me of a ride long lost.

no macabre, here are the best coasters in Hershey (in my opinion of course) from highest thrill to no less thrill
[/u] [6] sooperdooperlooper [7] comet [8] trailblazer [9] sidewinder [/ul] I left the Wild mouse out because i wouldn't [/color] call that a coaster

Hershey Thinks Wild Mouse is a coaster; They have it under category 5; Lighting Racers and The Comet are considered lower thrill rides according to the rating system via the park. EPIC FAIL HERSHEY!
It's funny the Wild Mouse is rated a 5. Just because they don't use the block brakes doesn't mean it's a 5 Hershey! Ahh... and the brakes, if they were used would make a wilder ride. Block Brakes can hurt sometimes.
You know my oppion. Your list isn't like mine; Just be hoping that you have perfect weather and no wind or rain. Or you can forget your number one.

The wild mouse is known as the "Most feared Ride in Hershey" I dont mind riding it, but it's the illusion of your car about to ride right off the edge that gives everyone saying "yeah, im not riding that again, EVER!" haha, and they are not young kids, they are grown men, haha!

I enjoy the wild mouse; everyone who I know besides my brothers says it gives them a headache...

i think hershey should at least change the name of it to something like "The mouse Trap" due to the fact they have a coaster called the wildcat, and too many people get them mixed up.

You know what would be cool; if they set Wild Mouse up to mirror Wild Cat; Like a racer; The Cat chases the Mouse; I at least always thought that was the connection Hershey was making; Besides, With the new Trains, Wild Cat is smooth; I never rode it with the original trains, but I have to say; It's right there under the Cyclone as one of my favorites; Smoother then Lightning Racer even; Lighting Racer is the same basic track style of Wild Cat squeezed into a tighter space; resulting in a rougher ride; that is, now that they have the same trains.

i rode it with the original trains, and trust me, It needed the new trains. I remember for some reasons like 3 of the cars were blocked off because of that. and i sat in the front, I cant imagine how rough it would be sitting all the way in the back
