Mike, please don't start that. I almost had to type the next line in his infamous speech.
And 222 visitors? That's pretty amazing!

Thanks for the warm welcome - I've been checking out all the links and posts etc. and am so glad to see all the work that is being done, especially by Brandon, to keep Trimpers Haunted House up and running, and so many of the original Tracy stunts still in use. Lots of great historical info. and pics too. - I volunteer at Clark's Elioak Farm, new home to many of the original pieces from The Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City MD.. I help with the restoration. - Frontier Town, ( near OC MD.), and The Enchanted Forest, were both created by Howard Adler and Adler designs. - I remember going to HH in the 70's 80's and 90's - it's a classic, and a treasure. Thanks for keeping it going.

I could see by your profile Pic that you are an Enchanted Forest fan. I put it on my "Before I Die" list that I would visit the abandoned park. Don't know whhy, just sounds fun

Hi trieft - ( sorry haven't been able to get back on here for a bit ) - Thanks! - Yep I'm a huge fan of The Forest! - Went as a kid, was inspired to be an artist, and now I get to help with the restoration of some of the original pieces. ( how cool is that?!) - It's been great fun, and I can imagine the fun Brandon and others have had when they bring the HH pieces back to life. - Lots of cement, hardware-cloth, celastic, ( what they used to use for the indoor figures - now we use paper mache or plaster ), even fiberglass. - my first restoration was the giant Birthday Cake that used to be inside The Hansel and Gretal Gingerbread House. about an inch and a half, to two inches of cement, that covered over a cage of thick metal mesh, with 3D cement roses and forget-me-knot flowers, and swags along the sides, and topped off with 3D letters spelling out Happy Birthday. - most of the 3D details were gone - broken off of it, and there was a humongous crack that went up one side, across the whole of the cake, and back down the other side. - We were able to fix it ( Quickcrete is your friend ), and painted it up to look like new again. We used what we could see on the cake of where the details were, and one lone photo graph of a child having a Birthday Party there. As far as going onto the original property, Clark's Elioak Farm is the only one that has permission now, to be on the original site, cause they have a deal with the co. that owns it, and I sure wouldn't want to mess it up for them, to be able to save anything else. - Also, now the buildings are much worse, and literally falling down, and there is a giant sink-hole, so it really is much more dangerous than it was when they first started removing the structures and pieces to restore them. - They do have some great before and after pics though on the farm's website that I know you would enjoy, and a ton of cool pics at The annual Enchanted Forest Birthday Celebration ( August 13 & 14 this year ) - Go on the 14th, and there is also a reunion of former E. F. employees with great pics and stories! ( that might be a cool thing for HH to have - a reunion of former employees! ) Great to meet you trieft - always nice to meet another E.F. fan. .... I tried to attach the pic of the restored E. F. Birthday Cake but when I tried to ad it as an attachment it didn't work - ( still on a learning curve )
